What is it that is so confusing?
Everything has its own sender. The notice period for the rental apartment is stated in jordabalken (the Swedish Land Code). You do this with Flyttanmälan at Skatteverket (the Swedish Tax Agency), but the forwarding of mail is ordered from Svensk Adressändring. The removal company's traffic permit is checked with Transportstyrelsen (the Swedish Transport Agency), the RUT tax deduction has the Tax Authority's rules and the waste collection and residential parking are handled by the municipality. The landlord has its own rules for the inspection.
Each part can be found. The problem is that none of them say what comes before or after, or what date applies to your move.
The whole move, step by step
That's why Flytthandboken is based on 7 steps in order, from the notice to when you hand over the keys. Each step says what you should do, when and where the rule comes from. If you start in the steps, you see the whole move on one screen, and your move plan calculates the dates from your moving day.
Around the steps, there are things that don't fit in a list: 99 guides, 62 templates to fill in and download, 348 laws summarized with a link to the law text and own pages for 24 cities with the city's rules.
Free, and no one pays to be listed
Flytthandboken costs nothing to use. We have checked 189 companies and services, from removal companies and storage to trailers and insurance. No one pays to be listed. Each piece of information about a company has a source and date, and where we have a favourite, the reason is written out. How it works is stated on How we check.
Everything is reviewed
The guides and steps are reviewed against the law text and sources, and the date of the last review is stated with each guide. The links, law sections and amounts are checked again once a month. If you still find an error, email [email protected].
Who is behind?
Flytthandboken is built and operated by Webraketen in Gothenburg, and the texts are written by the editorial team. Who receives a request and how your information is handled is explained on How it works.
