Clear out before moving: sell, donate, dispose of or move yourself

Start early: what you sell needs weeks, what you donate can often be collected. Transport to second-hand, auction or flea market gives a 25 percent RUT tax deduction on the total price. Transport to the recycling centre or to a private buyer gives no deduction. Profit when selling private items is tax-free up to 50,000 kr per year.
