How long is the notice period for business premises?

Nine months to the next month change, if nothing else has been agreed, and the notice must be in writing. Read your rental agreement first, as a longer notice period may have been agreed. More in the guide on renting and terminating premises.

Where can the moving truck stand in Stockholm?

Stockholms stad writes that it is already allowed to load and unload goods on streets with parking bans. Companies with many heavy deliveries, not those who move once, apply for a fixed loading place. If the truck is to stop or park where it is prohibited, you need an exemption from the local traffic regulations. A parking permit costs 800 kronor and a transit permit 300 kronor. The city wants the application at the latest one week before you need the permit, and the decision usually comes after five working days.

A container, shed or construction bag in a public place requires a police permit, and the permit must be issued before the place is used.

What applies to a large truck in Stockholm?

A vehicle longer than 12 metres may only drive on roads that allow long traffic. The environmental zone class 1 for heavy vehicles has existed since 1996 and covers most of the city centre, and the city does not give temporary exemptions for driving within the environmental zone. Between 10 pm and 6 am, heavy trucks are not allowed to drive on street land in Stockholms stad. The city's pages state different weight limits for the night ban, 4.25 tonnes on the page for heavy vehicles and 3.5 tonnes on the page for environmental zone class 3, so ask the removal company what truck they drive and when.

Where does the company dispose of old office furniture and electronics?

Stockholm Water and Waste receives waste from businesses at its recycling centres. Bulky waste and textiles cost 808 kronor excluding VAT per visit. Electronic waste, packaging and deposit are left free of charge, but if you come with a light truck, you should make a request in advance, and for electronic waste, a delivery certificate is also required. Vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tons are not allowed in.

Does an office move qualify for the RUT tax deduction?

No. The RUT work must be performed in or in close proximity to a home where the buyer lives, and an office is not a home. The company can instead deduct the cost of moving the business, see deduction for moving costs.
