The median is the middle of the 9 prices, sorted by size. Four companies publish prices that cannot be compared directly and are not included: Flyttfabriken in Stockholm states 495 kr for one mover, BudCenter in Uppsala 695 kr for two movers without a vehicle, Artway in Helsingborg 499 kr including VAT without writing about the RUT tax deduction, and Tetrisflytt in Malmö does not write about whether the price for two movers applies before or after the deduction. The companies in Gothenburg do not publish moving prices.

Which part of the removal company's price gives a deduction?
The work of moving household goods between your homes, between flats in the same building and to and from storage: packing and unpacking, loading and unloading, and dismantling and reassembling furniture that cannot be moved whole. The removal van, fuel, moving boxes and storage rent get no deduction.

What does removal help cost? Price per hour
The hourly rate usually applies to the entire team, for example two movers and a vehicle, as in the table above. Ask for the hourly rate in the quote, ask how many people are coming and if there is a minimum charge or a starting fee. The cost becomes the hours times the hourly rate, plus vehicle and materials if they are not included.
If you only buy removal help, i.e. carrying help, packing or loading while you drive yourself, the work gives the same RUT tax deduction as a full move. The rent for the moving truck and fuel you pay in full, regardless of whether you rent the truck yourself or the company brings it. Is a fixed price or an hourly price better?
Fixed price gives you the final sum in advance, but only if the quote describes the move correctly. Hourly rate becomes cheaper if the move goes quickly and more expensive if it takes longer. Our advice is to choose a fixed price when you know how much is to be moved, and to ask for the hourly rate as well so you can compare. If the company wants to be paid in advance or in cash, or if the quote does not show the labour cost separately, it is reason to check the company more closely. Is there a cheap removal company in Gothenburg?
A cheap removal company is mostly a matter of how much work you buy. Pack yourself, clean before the move and have everything ready when the company arrives, so it will be fewer hours. The RUT tax deduction removes up to half of the labor cost. We only reproduce prices from companies we have checked, in the table above.
