Where can the removal van be parked when the removal help is loading in Växjö?
Växjö municipality does not specify anything about a removal van that is only loading, and the police do not require a permit when the location is used temporarily and to a minor extent. A container on the municipality's public land is different: then you pay rent to the municipality and need a police permit, which costs 990 kronor. If the van is to remain on the street during the move, time limits apply. Outside parking zones, you can park for a maximum of 24 hours in a row on weekdays where nothing else is signposted. With the municipality's 30-day ticket for zone 2, 650 kronor per month, you can park for a maximum of 48 hours in a row in the same place.

When should the move be completed at Vidingehem?
At Vidingehem, the municipality's housing company, you book the final inspection at the customer centre no later than four weeks before moving out. Therefore, decide on the moving day with the removal company before booking, so that the apartment is empty and cleaned when the inspection is done. If the cleaning is not sufficient, Vidingehem orders re-cleaning at your expense, and if keys are missing, the lock cylinder is replaced, also at your expense. The pre-inspection is done two to three weeks after the notice of termination.

What does removal help cost for a weekend in Växjö?
Both companies in Växjö that publish hourly rates charge more on weekends. Two movers and a truck cost, after RUT tax deduction, 549 kr per hour on a weekday and 749 kr on a weekend at Flyttförmedlingen, and 550 and 720 kr respectively at Växjös Flyttbud, according to the companies' websites on 5 October 2026. A four-hour move is thus 680 to 800 kr more expensive on a Saturday. Flyttförmedlingen also charges 29 kr per mile for the car, which is noticeable on a move to another location.

How did you choose the companies in Växjö?
We recommend removal companies that have an office or address in Växjö municipality, at least 4.5 in rating on Google from at least 30 reviews, information in the Transport Agency's register of traffic permits and F-tax certificate. The company should give RUT tax deduction on the move. We prefer companies that publish prices. No quote mediators.
