Everyone who lives in Habo, Jönköping and Mullsjö may drop off bulky waste free of charge, because the service is included in the fee that every household pays through the waste charges. Step 4: What applies to residents' parking when you move in Jönköping?

Report the move to Skatteverket (the Swedish Tax Agency) before you move or at the latest a week after. Residents' parking is available in certain areas of Jönköping and Huskvarna, with a blue and a yellow zone. You must be registered as living in the area and own the vehicle. As a new resident you can only apply once both your population registration and your vehicle are registered at the new address, and the vehicle usually takes three days longer to register. The permit runs until further notice, but you have to cancel it yourself when you move. The fee in 2026 is 450 kr a month in tariff A and 375 kr in tariff B.

The application must include a sketch showing the location and the dimensions of what will be placed there. The police warn of longer processing times, so apply in good time. The last step is handing over the home. Book the move-out cleaning so that it is finished before any inspection, and hand back all the keys. Keep the invoices from the removal company and the move-out cleaning, where the RUT tax deduction should be shown. Both deductions count towards the same ceiling of 75,000 kronor per person and year.
