Where can I leave things that can be used again in Jönköping?

Whole items you leave in the storage rooms at the sorting facilities in Bankeryd, Gränna, Huskvarna, Jönköping, Kaxholmen and Tenhult. It can be a smaller piece of furniture, a bike, tableware, a mirror or a picture. June Avfall & Miljö sells the items in the recycling shop Prylboden The Store or donates them to second-hand shops run by aid organizations. You are not allowed to take anything from a storage room. At Jönköping's sorting facility, there is also a building material storage room.

Can June Avfall & Miljö collect bulky waste?

Not themselves. If you want to have bulky waste collected at your home, you hire one of the contractors that June Avfall & Miljö has approved and has an agreement with. The contractor sets the price but may not charge more than the maximum tax for the year, and you pay directly to the contractor. The service applies to waste from private individuals, and a property owner can order it for the tenants' bulky waste. If you drive yourself to a sorting facility, it's free, since it's included in the waste tax.

What do I do with the things that are not coming with me?

Our advice is to sort out what you are not taking with you when you start packing, and take it to a recycling centre before moving day. Then the removal company only carries and drives what is coming along, and the working time gets shorter.
