Where can the moving van be parked when the removal help is loading in Kalmar?
Kalmar municipality requires a police permit for, among other things, containers in public places, but does not mention a moving van that is just loading. The police state that temporary use in a minor extent does not require a permit, and a permit costs 990 kr. If you are moving to Kvarnholmen, Malmen, Norrgård, Bremerlyckan, Gamla stan or Ängö and want to have the van on the street afterwards, it is a resident parking permit that applies. You must then be registered at the new address before applying, so flyttanmälan (notification of change of address) should do it in good time. The permit costs 250 kr for two years, and in addition to that, there is a 30-day ticket: 300 kr on Kvarnholmen and 200 kr in the other areas.

When should the move be completed at Kalmarhem?
Kalmarhem is the largest in the municipality with approximately 5,250 homes. The keys should be returned to Larmtorget 3 by 12:00 on the first weekday after the agreement has expired. Within five working days after the notice, a pre-inspection is booked, and there you also book the time for the final inspection. If the move-out cleaning is not approved, you will pay for the cleaning company that Kalmarhem sends. Therefore, plan the removal help so that the cleaning can be done before the final inspection.

Do the removal companies in Kalmar drive to Öland and Nybro?
Flyttservice Kalmar Län states that it is Kalmar's local removal company since 1998 and that it covers Kalmar, Öland and Nybro. The company provides a fixed price after a free inspection and can store your belongings if they need to be stored somewhere between moves. For Barks Flytt & Alltjänst we have not been able to read which towns the company travels to, so ask when you request a quote. Neither of the two publishes removal prices. How did you choose the companies in Kalmar?
We recommend removal companies that have an office or address in Kalmar municipality, at least 4.5 in rating on Google from at least 30 reviews, information in the Transport Agency's register of traffic permits and F-tax certificate. The company should provide RUT tax deduction on the move. We prefer companies that publish prices. No quote brokers.
