Where can the removal lorry stand when the removal help is loading in Umeå?
In Umeå, the removal lorry can stop to load and unload even where parking is prohibited, and the municipality sets no time limit. However, loading must be in progress between the lorry and the house, otherwise the lorry is considered parked. If you live in a Lerstenen property, you should request a parking permit for the moving day, as most of the company's properties have parking surveillance. A container on municipal land requires a permit from the Police. You apply using the municipality's form, which is forwarded to the Police, and the municipality invoices the land rent afterwards.

When should the move be completed at Bostaden and Lerstenen?
At Bostaden, the municipality's company with approximately 15,000 apartments, the keys must be handed in and the apartment must be ready by 12 pm on the moving-in day. The inspection will take place beforehand, at a time announced by the caretaker, and the apartment does not need to be empty or cleaned at that time. The removal help can therefore be booked after the inspection. At Lerstenen, with approximately 1,800 apartments, you book the inspection time with the office no later than one week before moving out, and the inspection includes both the condition and the cleaning.
