After the cancellation, you book a check-in, and KBAB has a checklist for the cleaning. The apartment must be left no later than 11.30 a.m. the day after the lease period has expired.

Housing queue in Karlstad

Karlstad municipality has no housing agency. The municipality refers to KBAB, the municipally owned housing company, and lists about forty other housing companies that have chosen to be visible there. To apply for an apartment with KBAB, you must be in the company's queue and collect queue points; the five with the most points get a viewing. Log in at least once a year, otherwise the points disappear.

Karlstads Energi runs the recycling centres for those who live in Karlstads municipality, and Kvarntorp in Forshaga is also open to people from Karlstad. In Väse you can sort yourself with a licence every day, and it is staffed on Tuesdays. Step 5: Can the moving truck park on the street in Karlstad?

If you need to place something on the municipality's land for a while, such as a container, you need a police permit and pay a fee to the municipality. The application should be submitted four weeks in advance. If it affects traffic, a traffic management plan is also required, which costs 1,500 kr and is applied for three weeks in advance. The municipality does not mention a moving truck that is just loading. If you live in a KBAB property, you can drive up and load on the car-free courtyards, as long as there is activity at the vehicle every tenth minute.

The final step is to hand over the home. Book the move-out cleaning so it's done before a potential inspection, and return all keys. Save the invoices from the removal company and move-out cleaning, which should include the RUT tax deduction. Both deductions count towards the same limit of 75,000 kr per person and year.
