Step 3: Where do I drop off bulky waste in Örebro?

Households drop off sorted waste free of charge. Business vehicles (not cars) are charged. Limits according to the municipality: at most 3 TV sets and 25 kg of other electrical waste, at most 4 white goods and hazardous waste of at most 10 litres or kg per package. Glanshammar has private access outside staffed hours. Opening hours vary by day and facility, so look at the municipality's page before you go.

Before the move, at the latest one week after

Step 4: What applies to residents' parking when you move in Örebro?

Report the move to Skatteverket (the Swedish Tax Agency) before you move or at the latest one week after. Residents' parking applies to residents in zone 2 or 3, for 12 months and only in the area you have been granted. The application costs 250 kr and can take up to 10 working days, up to 20 in summer. With the permit you buy a 30-day ticket for 600 kr. Anyone living in a building with a building permit issued after 4 February 2016 is not entitled to residents' parking. The municipality's page does not say what applies to the permit when you move within or out of an area.

Step 5: Can the removal van park on the street in Örebro?

A skip on municipal land requires a permit from Polismyndigheten under the Public Order Act (ordningslagen). The police obtain the municipality's opinion and the municipality charges a land use fee. If the work affects traffic, a traffic management plan is required. A removal van on a pedestrian or cycle path requires a permit from the municipality, for one occasion and a maximum of 8 hours. Use a loading bay first. It is permitted to stop for loading and unloading where parking is prohibited. The municipality has no separate permit page for a removal van on an ordinary street.
