Can the municipality collect bulky waste in Örebro?

Yes, for a fee. Collection inside the home costs 395 kronor for five items, and carrying help is included. Each item beyond five costs 50 kronor, and you can have a maximum of ten items collected. The furniture must be disassembled, and Freys Express will collect them and leave them at Åternyttan. Collection at the property boundary costs at least 500 kronor for up to three cubic meters and 100 kronor per extra cubic meter. Then, electronic waste, appliances, or garden waste are not collected, and the items are not reused. You order through the municipality's e-service and receive an invoice from the municipality.

What applies to hazardous waste, company vehicles and loading in Örebro?

The municipality collects hazardous waste and smaller electronic waste in residential areas twice a year, in May and in September and October, according to a route list. The vehicle accepts, for example, paint, solvents, batteries and low-energy lamps, but not appliances or electronic waste larger than a microwave oven. If you drive your private waste in a company vehicle, you must register with the municipality for free, otherwise the visit will be charged. The staff at the recycling centres are not allowed to help with lifting or loading, but the municipality has sketches of the order in which the containers are located at Atleverket and Mellringe, so that you can load the car in the right order.

What do I do with the things that are not coming with me?

Our advice is to sort out what you are not taking with you when you start packing, and take it to a recycling centre before moving day. Then the removal company only carries and drives what is coming along, and the working time gets shorter.
